Southmountain Children and Family Services currently operates ten Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) throughout North Carolina. The following employment position is open for applications: Director/Forensic Interviewer for our Nash, Edgecombe, and Wilson CAC facility located physically in Rocky Mount, NC. This is for one (1) position, that provides service for these three counties.

Director/Forensic Interviewer

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required in Human Services.
• Strong organizational, group facilitation, and written communication skills
are required.
• Forensic interviewing, and public relations skills are preferred.
• Salary based on experience and education.

The Center Director will work in collaboration with a Multidisciplinary Team formed with representation from community agencies charged with the investigation of child abuse cases (DSS, Law Enforcement, the DA’s Office, as well as other community service providers). One of the primary duties of the Director is to conduct forensic interviews of children who report physical, sexual abuse, or witness to violent crime . Extensive training will be provided for this duty. The Director will collect and input all data pertaining to each case, prepare the case for discussion at a weekly case review and facilitate the review meetings. The director will also work in collaboration with other community service providers as well as Family Advocates and Therapists to provide victim advocacy, counseling, and family services. This position is full time 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, but requires flexibility for after hours emergencies and periodic on call.
