Grant to Benefit Children’s Advocacy Center
A grant for $2,500 has been awarded to Southmountain Children and Family Services from The Unifour Foundation Inc. Endowment, a component fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation. This grant will help Southmountain replace the recording equipment at the Gingerbread House, the Burke County Children’s Advocacy Center. Southmountain operates four Children’s Advocacy Centers serving 6 counties in Western North Carolina that coordinate child abuse investigations between the Department of Social Services, Law Enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office.
