Danica Ciaramita

Danica completed her Master's in Counseling Psychology at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Upon completing her degree, she moved back to North Carolina to be closer to family, where she spent 8 years working in Buncombe County, providing case management and individual therapy. Danica spent six of those years concentrating on in-home therapy services and discovered her passion for working with families who had experienced trauma.

Danica joined Southmountain in 2013 as a Clinician in the McDowell County Child Advocacy Center.  She provided trauma-informed services to children and families until 2020, when she transitioned to a full-time Clinical Supervisor role.  In 2024, in addition to the Clinical Supervision role, she assumed the Practice Manager role to support the effective coordination of Southmountain’s programs.
