LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Southmountain Children and Family Services is seeking a licensed clinician experienced in trauma work to join its team as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician. The clinician supports the children and families who utilize the services of the Southmountain Children and Family Services foster community and children’s advocacy centers.

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, but requires flexibility for after-hour emergencies and periodic on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree or higher required.

  • Licensure to provide mental health services required.

  • Being rostered in TF-CBT, currently participating in the NC Child Treatment Program, or being nationally certified in TF-CBT is preferred.

  • Experience in treating traumatized children is required

  • Substance-use treatment experience is preferred


DUTIES:

  • Provide trauma-informed, comprehensive clinical assessments

  • Provide outpatient therapy services (e.g., trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and family-centered treatment) and case management

  • Collaborate and consult with other community service providers, DSS and other staff
