Back-to-School Picnic Hosted by Southmountain
On Thursday, August 20, Southmountain Children and Family Services hosted a “Back to School” picnic at the outdoor pavilion on the campus of our Foster Care Community. Special invited guests included administrators, principals, teachers and coaches from Glen Alpine Elementary, Table Rock Middle School, and Freedom High School; the three schools that our children attend. School Superintendent Larry Putnam and Assistant Superintendent, Dr. David Fonseca also attended the picnic. On Monday August 24 the school buses will be running as it’s back to school once again for all Burke County children!
