Position Available: Professional Parent(s)
Christian friendly, private, non-profit agency is accepting employment applications for Professional Parents. The job is a full-time 24-hour, 365 days a year, 7 days a week paid position. Applicants need be energetic, open to learning different parenting techniques to meet resident needs, and implementing the CARE Model with youth ages 0 to 21. High School diploma/GED is required, but prefer married college degreed couples. Agency provides lots of additional support, such as on campus clinicians, weekly in-service trainings, recreation staff and facilities, social worker/case management and part-time nurse. Clinical support we provide utilizes Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) widely recognized for its’ evidence based approach. Successful hires will need to move onto the agency’s beautiful 180+ acre campus to become the direct care staff for youth whom are often from abuse/neglect backgrounds and are in the custody of the Department of Social Services. A love for helping children, positive attitude, and a valid North Carolina Driver’s license is required for the position.
